Savings Stamps - The Smart Way to Save

Thurles Credit Union operates a stamp-based savings scheme where the members can save for holidays, clothes, sports gear, phone bills, car tax and insurance, television licence etc.

To begin, savers get a Stamp Card. The savings stamps come in values of €1. They can be purchased from the Automatic Stamp Vending Machines in Parnell Street or over the counter in Urlingford and Killenaule Offices. The €1 Savings Stamp Card takes 40 stamps, to a total value of €40 for a full card. Full cards can be redeemed for cash at any of our offices or alternatively can be transferred to a member's savings account.

Sammy Stamp Junior Saving Scheme

The Sammy Stamp Junior Saving scheme was introduced in an effort to promote and encourage thrift among our children in local schools, and to make them aware of the importance of saving for their needs in the future; i.e. school tours, holidays, bikes, music, presents, etc.

Sammy Stamps are available in participating schools one day each week. Kids pay for them in units of €1 and they can watch them grow and grow and soon your children will have the start all savers need, the start you always wanted them to have.

Stamps may also be used to open an account in the Credit Union or to add to an existing Credit Union account and stamps can be redeemed for cash at any of our offices. So start them saving today....the Sammy Stamp way!
